Junior Accountant (60–100 %)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with accounting mandates (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial accounting; annual financial statements; reports).
  • Helping provide additional accounting services (tax returns for individuals and legal entities; VAT declarations; financial planning; advisory mandates).
  • Providing support with financial planning and the supervision of companies.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks (writing presentations, correspondence, and reports; editing reports and articles; handling telephone calls, orders, reservations, etc.).
  • Providing support with organisational development and other areas of growth (evaluating third-party product and service providers; assisting with the recruitment of new employees).

Requirements

  • A passion for financial and accounting services.
  • Two years’ experience at an accountancy firm/service company.
  • Completed education in a business field. Ideally an on-going or completed education as a Swiss-certified Accountant or a Chartered Specialist in Financial and Managerial Accounting and Reporting.
  • A flair for figures.
  • Considerable experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the Abacus ERP system is a big plus.
  • Good organisational skills, a capacity for rapid learning, and excellent powers of concentration.
  • Good communication skills and an independent personality.
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English. Any other languages are an advantage.
